| Vikram
Bachelor of Arts in Electronic Design & Multimedia, |
Vikram has been working with Adobe After Effects for a good 7 years and today it is his bible as he goes about producing work for TV and film. Currently a visual effects designer with the pioneer post-production facility in Malaysia, Asia-Pacific Videolab Sdn. Bhd., Vikram utilises After Effects in almost all his projects. His clients arrive from all over the region bringing in visual effects and motion graphics challenges for him and his team to tackle. His fascination with drawings and movies as a kid has propelled him into a career of dreaming the impossible. Having sharpened his raw energy at Limkokwing Institute of Creative Technology, he embarked on completing his Bachelor of Arts in Electronic Design & Multimedia in the prestigious Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. While living up the student life, he also did ample work on freelance projects for numerous charitable organisations. These pro-bono projects proved to be the early playground he needed to eventually embark on a career in visual effects and motion graphics. Soon after graduating he started freelancing and projects started raining in. Soon enough he was involved in image branding projects and eventually started directing music videos, one of which went on air in Astro. He soon ended his freelance days by opening his own design facility, Multimideaz Sdn. Bhd. A few years later, Asia-Pacific Videolab came knocking and he found the temptation of the post-production industry too good to refuse. His arrival coincided with APV nailing the post-production work for the most expensive movie made in our shores, Puteri Gunung Ledang, on which they spent a good 2 years to complete. He and the team toiled on countless effects shots and design work for production and image branding. These days he pits his wits on television commercials working with some of the most renown directors and clients in the region. He also acts as visual effects supervisor on shoot for sets that require extensive visual effects work. From compositing footage to creating visual effects to customizing motion graphics to experimental projects, Vikram has utilised Adobe After Effects in all its glory. |
